Welcome to Busy Boomers - we're designers - we help you design the sort  of  creative, productive and satisfying 'third age' that YOU want to live.

Longevity is a new world. Today’s baby boomers can expect to live longer than previous generations – perhaps 20 or 30 bonus years. And many of them will be years of good health and active minds.

As the same time, early retirement is no longer an option for many people; income-wise as well and interest-wise. In fact, there are moves afoot to banish the word ‘retirement’ itself, because of its implications of withdrawing from life!

So, we’re left with lots of questions, lots of challenges and lots of choices – like no other generation that has ever lived! NOW is the time to start exploring your options. Why not join us and others at the same life stage to do just that?

Too young to retire – too old to be doing any more boring work?

Busy Boomers ChairThen come along and explore your work, life and retirement options in like-minded company in one of our Creative Retirement Conversation groups.

Over four hours, led by lifestage and employment specialist, Grace Johnston,  you'll have the chance to learn, listen, share, reflect and plan for what should be the most satisfying years of your life.

You probably have your finances and living arrangements for your retirement years already organised. But what about the rest of your life?

Creative Retirement Conversations provide you with a place to begin this exploration - with a focus clearly on what for you would be living a creative and purposeful life.

What outcomes can we expect?

  • Clarification of what’s really important to you in life now and for the future,
  • Some career, job lifestyle and or business options,
  • A start to your own individual action plan, and
  • The option of joining an on-going real-time and online network of people at much the same life stage as yourself.

CRC conversations are organised in response to your enquiries, needs and timetables. Contact us and we'll take it from there..

Find yourself confused about what to do next in your life?

Who are Busy Boomers?

Busy Boomers Pty Ltd is a business dedicated to working with people living through those precious years that we call the ‘third age*’ and making the most of them.

Busy Boomers Gold WatchThe one-size-fits-all retirement planning manual is no longer adequate – because these bonus years for most people won’t be about the rocking chair. They’ll be about rocking the boat and changing the stereotypes!

These years for busy boomers won’t be about stretching resources and battening down. They’ll be about discovery, surprise and creating new paths. They’ll be about grasping opportunities and contributing to society and the community in new and creative ways.

They’ll be about …..? Well, that really depends on you. After all, it’s your life, your time, and it’s about who you really are. And about your work, play, relationships and what has meaning for you.

And that’s what the BusyBoomers' program is all about. Not giving you the answers, but assisting you with information and processes through which you can explore your third age options and set some goals for the next phase of your journey.

*your third age is the name for all those years of active living that used to be thought of as ‘retirement’ – the years after you finish your traditional career (though that doesn’t mean you may not be working in the third age!). The third age years are not to be confused with the ‘fourth age’ when growing frailty may set in.
